Benefits of Dark Chocolate
If you want your skin to glow before a party, eat dark chocolate before you go. It will increase the blood circulation to your face for two hours! If you really care about the look of your skin, you might want to leave the party early, or sneak in another chunk after two hours. If you want the benefits to last, you’ll need to increase the flavonoids in your daily diet. • Increase in blood circulation.
• Improvement in the look of your skin. It’ll be softer, smoother and more hydrated.
• Improves blood flow to the brain for two hours. You might want to take it before an important meeting at work or with before meeting with your divorce lawyer.
• Enhanced brain function in general which may reduce the risk of dementia.
I never knew there were so many benefits to this form of true indulgence. Recently I told my seven-year-old daughter that chocolate is good for her as we were both savoring a piece. Her eyes nearly popped out of her head. Then she accused me of lying. The cocoa bean contains flavanoids, magnesium, and iron for protection from heart disease. Cocoa powder is a relatively low-fat, high fiber source of minerals and antioxidants. Health tip: to really benefit from chocolate you will need at least 70% cocoa solids. The more cocoa solids that the chocolate contains, the more antioxidants and minerals it has. Standard milk chocolate and white chocolate aren't as healthy (if at all). Remember that indulging your senses in general helps alleviate your menopausal symptoms. Try my recipe for Chocolate Tofu Mousse for a real healthy, totally sinless treat.
